Screen Manufacturer’s Warranty
1. VIVIDSTORM products have a 2-year warranty. During the warranty period, in case of any problems caused by the product itself or the
product defects caused by the design, you can come to our website and contact us directly for product warranty.
During the warranty period, if the product fails to work normally due to user negligence (not product material or design defects, etc.), not eligible for a warranty, for serious damage to the product should charge that fee according to the product damage.
After the warranty period expires, all repairs or replacements are charges the fee, and users will get a quote for the repair fee. Only after the user agrees and accepts the maintenance cost can the maintenance service be started.
2. Within one week after the user receives the product, if there are obvious serious defects in the product, the user shall provide video or photo proof, and provide the corresponding certificate and warranty card to our after-sales service personnel. After confirmation, the user can return the product and reship a new product. The user needs to ensure that the retumed product is in good condition kept in their
original status., free from any physical damage and that the packaging is complete. We will handle the returned or exchanged products
within 7 days (excluding public holidays).
3. The motors in all products sold by our company enjoy a five-year warranty. It is necessary to ensure that the motor is complete and has not been tampered with.
4. The company provides corresponding after-sales technical support services for the products sold, and guarantees customer service
response within 24 hours. (except holidays)
5. Within one week after the customer receives the product, due to the special packaging size of the product, it is recommended to save the
carton in order to solve the packaging problem of return and replacement.
6. It should be noted that the product damage caused by the following factors not caused by the company, the damage caused by other
human factors and natural disasters are not included in the warranty scope of the company:
The product is damaged due to incorrect installation of the product;
(1) Product voltage mismatch;
(2) The user does not operate according to the product manual, mishandling, resulting in improper use and product damage;
(3) Repair or modify the product without authorization of the company;
(4) Failure to provide proper working environment;
(5) Product damage caused by user’s secondary transportation;
(6) This product is damaged in natural disasters and accidents. Natural disasters and accidents include flood, fire and human factors. The
above guarantee has the same legal effect for each user. Due to the change of country or region, other rights may only apply to specific
customers.
I purchased this screen for the price and availability. Every screen we thought would work was either sold out or would not be available for a long while. We had a fixed frame screen suspended from our ceiling, but we didn't have the luxury of storing it away unless we took it down completely. We also had a TV on the wall behind it, and we were looking for that right projector screen that would work conveniently. Well, when this one came in it was packaged very well. We hung it on the existing hooks and plugged in the USB transmitter to the back of our projector. When the projector turned on, the screen came down. When we shut the projector off, the screen retracted up! That simple. You can also stop the screen in any position you'd like. We recently watched the new "Justice League" movie that was shot in the 4:3 format. It filled the whole screen and was phenomenal to watch! The housing is very well made and solid. The motor is not loud, but it also isn't super quiet either...no biggie. The screen comes down at a good pace - not too fast or too slow . The tension rod seems to me very "light" looking...like it has no meat to it...I've included pictures of the tension rod showing slight rippling, but it doesn't hinder the picture quality as the middle of the screen is very flat with no waves. You hardly notice the ripple on the side as the picture is gorgeous. The screen is gray/silver tone for diffusing the ambient light...works great for us as we watch at any time of the day with clear picture and color. I gave this a four star only for the ripple on the side, which doesn't hinder picture quality in the least. It works for us and for the price and quality, we cannot complain...more pros than cons!
This is a review of my Vividstorm Tab-tensioned Screen, Electric Drop Down 120-inch Diag 16:9, Ambient Light Rejecting (VMSLALR120H) long focus. The Vividstorm screen came very well package with foams and ties protecting the housing. All the accessories and a little manual came with it and nothing was missing. I have no dents or scratches in my screen or frame. I originally purchased the screen back in November 2019 during black Friday but during the shipment of the screen it had shifted the bottom portion of the screen and it was wrinkled up. I sent an email to customer service and pictures to them and they responded back on how to fix the issue I was having. The instructions were quite simple on how to fix the issue but I could not get the screen to move at all or make the wrinkes disappear. I requested a replacement through Amazon and it took about 12 days to have a new one back in my house. Once I opened the new package, I found out that one of the clips to hold the screen from moving inside during shipment was out of place. My guess is during transportation the clip came off the track, however there were 3 other clips still in placed holding the screen from moving inside. Upon removing the holding clips, I noticed the bottom end of the screens were shifted one side and wrinkles appeared badly. I will attach these pictures in the review. I decided to inspect the screen myself and found a screw at the bottom of the rail holding the string tensioning. All I did is to remove the screw on each side of the bottom of the screen and pull each side of the screen gently so that spacing is equally distributed along the side of the screen. Once I fixed the screen everything was ok. There were no more wrinkles in the screen. The electric dropdown of the screen is smooth. It is not super loud but you will hear a clunk when the screen is retracted into the housing. Dropping the screen is quiet but not silence either and there is no clunk when fully extended. Two remotes are included. One IR remote and one RF remote that can be used anywhere without pointing to the screen. The screen material reminds me of an umbrella and it is of dark gray color. The Vividstorm screen does not have black borders in its side or top. The screen has a low gain of 0.8. The housing is white and heavy aluminum. It is well made and it does not feel cheap at all. Installation of the screen is very easy and it requires 2 persons. The reason I purchased this screen is to watch daily news and sports during day time. I used to have a 106" diagonal 16:9 Matte White 1.2 gain and watching these types of videos during day time was not enjoyable at all. My previous old screen displayed colors that were washed out to the point that I only watched bluray movies at night only. So, I do not have a dedicated room where I can make it completely black during day time. I have a family room where I have a series 55 inches Sony TV and right above the TV it is located the projector screen. I will attach pictures so you can see the difference in these 2 mediums. Please see TV images where the Sony logo is at bottom of the picture. During day time, I would watch my Sony TV and during night time I would drop the screen from the top and watch movies. My projector is a really old Sony Cineza HS20 at 1080i and this projector at the brightest setting puts out 952 lumens. Since this is an old projector with more than 300 hours, a 20% dropped in lumens occurs after 300 hours. So, my best estimate my Sony projector output is 762 lumens. I have also measured the light at 19.69 lux with a digital lux meter with a distance of around 15 feet. The distance from my projector to screen is 16.6 feet. I have attached many types of images from watching news, 2 cartoons blinds opened and closed, 2 sports blinds opened and closed, and movies images at night with no light in the room. The images during day time is at 12:30 pm in bright sunshine. Even with my old projector I can now watch many types of shows during daytime with blinds opened or closed and I am really surprised with the picture I get. I will imagine with today’s current projectors outputting more lumens that the image will be higher contrast, brigther and better. Yes, the images could be better with a newer generation projectors but knowing I can watch everything with a pretty decent image with my current old projector is awesome. All the pictures have not been edited and have been taken with iphone 8. I will be updating to a new projector in a near future and will post my findings. Product came quickly. Color of screen is the shade of gray in between the Cinegray 3 and Cinegray 5 alr screens . I adjusted the screen with the included rod to make it drop 2' shorter, which took about 10 minutes to figure out and accomplish. I previously had a Cinegray (1) screen before I purchased this and this was definitely an upgrade in picture quality. Screen motor is not loud and is fluid in operation. Would recommend to a friend.
My experience with this item has been a mixed bag. The first 1 I recieved was obviously damaged from the delivery company. Seller did end up making it all right for me though and got me another one delivered. Now for my review of the screen. I feel like they give you a nice assortment of remote options (IR and RF remotes), the 12v trigger is nice, and the look of the housing is nice as well. The screen so far operates as it should. The company has been very good with and quick to answer all question. I have only had it a short while and there is some minor wrinkles to the edges but from it hanging I am hoping they will go away and the rest of the screen is flat so far.even though it hasnt been a 100% perfect transaction I am overall pleased with the image on the screen and the company support.
This is an excellent screen considering the price. I've owned a tab tension Elite screen for a few years and the motor is starting to fail. I would say that the quality compared to the Vividstorm is about the same at about half the price. A friend of mine just purchased an Elite ALR screen for much more and I really think that the picture image on my ALR Vividstorm screen is better. I stumbled across the Vividstorm screen by chance and I'm glad I did. I will be buying Vividstorm screen in the future if I ever need another one. It's a no brainer if you want the best bang for your buck!! Also, their customer service department is Top Notch!
I ordered this 120 inch Vividstorm projector screen when it was on sale to upgrade from a stand up office projection screen (white). I was looking for a unit to be installed in a multi-purpose room with lots of light during the daytime for gaming and 3D movies. We wanted a quick and easy way to play some Mario Kart on a gigantic screen or watch Netflix or movies and the unit looks nice on the wall when it is rolled up. I am using an older Panasonic 4W430 projector but it still has a lot of life left and I wanted a screen that could grow with the setup if I upgrade in the future.I took photos at different light levels (from all lights on vs all lights off) one evening with the PS3 on the Daytona launch screen. I am very happy with the onscreen image and the grey really does help blacks pop during movies and there is no noticeable loss to the whites. The image is even better in person. The ambient light rejection seems to work well. I tried it once with all the lights and windows open and I could still reasonably play a game though it is much better with less light (like all projectors).I was choosing between this screen, the Elitescreen Cinetension, and the Elunevision 4k reference - ultimately price, size, install options, and availability led me to order the Vividstorm. The installation was very easy with the help of one other person and the various methods to control the drop is intuitive (two remote options, wall control, auto usb). We really have only been using the wall controller. Everything was packaged extremely well and arrived quickly.The motor isn't loud or bothersome and we left the screen down for 48 hours to straighten the screen and let if off gas a bit. I am not sure how much the tension is being put on the screen but it is working for me. The family is loving the screen so far!
I considered several more expensive models before selecting thia Vividstorm 120in ALR screen (VMSLALR120H)...very happy with my pick.Packaging - this has to be the best package I've received. It arrived double plastic wrapped and double boxed with reinforcements on all corners and edges. I should have taken a picture...Install - I went for the newer aluminum housing and glad I did. The channels on the case allow you to mount the brackets or hooks where needed and slide the screen left or right to perfectly center. Hanging the screen ended up being easiest part of the install and I was thankfully to have the adjustability when I ran into issues mounting the projector.Quality - Housing is solid. Motor seems strong and came with plenty of remotes and trigger options. Screen is thin and had slight creasing which they mention will go away and did after a couple weeks use. The tension cord is stretchy and light weight but seems to be enough to keep the edge from curling a great deal. Perfect for keeping a flat image framed an inch or two in from the edge.Service - Very responsive to email (accounting for time zones). Extremely helpful even went as far as to send videos from factory to assist in a slight adjustment. This was the most pleasant surprise.Picture - The ALR works great in a room with a good deal of ambient light paired with a bright projector (3500 ansi lumens) day time viewing was more than acceptable. Night time viewing the grey screen helps with contrast on the bright projector and movies look amazing!Very happy with the screen! I'll update this review if I encounter any extreme longevity issues.
This is for the ALR 120" motorized drop-down screen.After searching everywhere, this was the best value I can find for a 120" motorized ALR screen. The next closest was another chinese manufacturer, but it cost an extra $200 and it did not come with all the amazing accessories vividstorm does. The screen was delivered very nicely and the packaging was great too. The screen goes over my TV in the living room, so there is a lot of ambient light during the day. Installation was a breeze. I decided to get L-brackets to mount it since I needed it to bring it out a little so it can go over my TV. After installation, I lowered the screen and everything seemed fine......but after a few days I got wrinkles in the screen, and then it became worse! There were roller marks on the screen from the roller as it went up and down. I decided to go on facebook messenger to ask vividstorm what was happening. They were very sorry about what happened and their communication was great. It was a defective screen, maybe due to shipping. So I decided to give them a second chance! The return was very easy and then the new one came shortly after. This one was a LOT better. The motor was quieter and there was no roller marks. There are slight wrinkles on the screen in the corner, but most movies are of a smaller dimensional size and the wrinkles do not show during most movies. The 0.8 gain is great and the screen REALLY rejects ambient light. We can eat dinner with the lights on and see everything very brightly. This is paired with an Epson 5040UB too; which has a high lumen output.All in all, i do highly recommend Vividstorm. Thier customer service can not be beat and they communicate very well along with the great value of the screen. Do note that they are based in China, so if you are in the USA you will have to wait until night to talk to them. But they are very responsive and take great care in their product to make everything right.
